Landmark project - (teddybear swap) - take digital pictures of teddy bear at the different landmarks and e-mail clues back and forth about what these landmarks might be; reveal pictures once guess is correct
(Social Studies; LOTE) (worldwide?) (any grade level depending on landmarks, questions, etc.)
Aunt Alice and Uncle Maurice - scenario: student is sending a friend to the airport to pick up their aunt and uncle; students draw and describe their aunt and uncle so that their friend would recognize them - exchange descriptions with another class; the other group tries to draw the aunt and uncle based on the description; share at the end using document camera to check how close they got

Mock constitutional convention - students from a variety of states (4-5) present ideas to create a mock constitution or bill of rights for the classroom; learn how to build consensus; voting processes; persuasion and point of view

Postcard exchange - Exchange postcards between countries or states to get to know other cultures and practice languages
4th Grade Native American - students can connect with Native American students
Historical figures role-play Guess who's coming to dinner?
