I teach Spanish so the primary emphasis of my class is to communication. This would be good for communication practice-students could post comments back and forth about a question on current events. For instance, students could choose a presidential candidate and support their choice in a wiki and comment to each other without the heated emotions that speaking might bring up.

I have already created a wiki for my classes and am working on building it. I can see where this might be helpful to put homework, project explainations or other useful items where kids and parents can access them. I also can see where you could put an overview of the days lessons for students who are absent using this particular technology

Megan I thought the same thing about have a way for posting class projects and homework on the wiki so that parents can look up on the cite to see if their child has anything due.

I plan on using the Wiki as a tech application in class to introduce and update students to various backgrounds/careers in health careers

I would like to use these ideas to help with my ESOL students and in my Acc. Reading classes. These students, who need to be able to use many strategies to learn, will certainly benefit.
